AAPILC Chair Assemblymember Evan Low (D-Silicon Valley) said: “I am excited to host the inaugural AAPI Leadership Summit and so many of our country’s esteemed Asian American and Pacific Islander leaders in order to continue to empower more AAPIs to run for elected office and ensure our communities are represented across all sectors and industries. As California is home to one-third of the nation’s AAPI population, it is appropriate that we host and help lead the conversation and efforts to best serve, represent and advocate for our communities and all Americans.”

“Asian American and Pacific Islander voices are stronger when we come together. I am proud that many AAPI elected officials and community leaders from across the country will gather in Sacramento to connect, learn, and build power. This summit serves as an opportunity to build upon our work fighting against anti-Asian hate, ensuring inclusion of our contributions and histories in school curriculum, and uplifting the needs of our diverse communities. I look forward to the important conversations that will take place during the summit,” said Assemblymember Mike Fong (D-Alhambra), Assembly Vice-Chair of the AAPI Legislative Caucus.

Senator Dave Min (D-Irvine), Senate Vice-Chair of the AAPI Legislative Caucus said: “As the most diverse state in the nation, California has both the opportunity and the responsibility to lead in fostering an environment where AAPI voices are not only heard but amplified. This historic summit serves as an essential platform for dialogues that span from policy innovation to community representation. As Vice-Chair of the Asian American & Pacific Islander Legislative Caucus, I'm honored to stand alongside my colleagues as we pave the way for a more inclusive and equitable future.”
